repetition When words or phrases are repeated for effect we call it repetition. *

alliteration Alliteration involves words that begin with the same sound. *
facts Many people are worryingly ignorant of the facts.
opinions They surveyed the pupils' opinions about school dinners. *
emotive Emotive language provokes an emotional reaction from the audience. *
language The TV censor cut out the bad language.
exaggeration Hyperbole is an exaggeration used for effect. *
expert He was the top expert.
superlative Superlative is saying something is the best, worst, most or least, for example. *
statistics Descriptive statistics include mean, mode, median and range. *
