Prefixes: when letters need changing

In this unit you have learned more about prefixes:

A prefix is a letter or letters that go at the front of a root word to change its meaning
Different prefixes can mean the same thing
Root words do not change their spellings when you attach a prefix
Knowing what the prefix means is an excellent way of making the right decision about which to use and how to spell the word.
