Rule(s) to learn When two vowels go walking, the first does the talking. This means the first letter makes the sound. Sometimes vowels are cheeky and have to be split. This is known as a split vowel digraph. They still make the same sound. Split a_e makes a long A sound. - Split e_e makes a long E sound. This is not used as often as ee and ea
"Thank goodness for Spellzone during this remote learning phase. The site is easy for students to navigate independently and they're really enjoying the activities and spelling games. You get an awful lot for your money with Spellzone. Really reassuring is the very prompt response with helpdesk queries. I've very rarely needed the helpdesk, but when I have, the issue has been addressed and sorted within a very short time."
