Listen to the words and type them correctly to improve your spelling.
Rule: Use dge to protect a short vowel sound with no letter friend after it, e.g. fridge . Use ge where the vowel does have a letter friend after it, e.g. fringe . Use g e where the vowel is a long sound (says its name), e.g. page .
