connotation 'connotation' - connected idea or association that is brought to mind b a word, based on how the word is often used. *
pathetic That pathetic apology does not vindicate your misdeeds. *
fallacy Shakespeare uses pathetic fallacy in Act 1 to create a gothic tone through stormy weather. *
imperative The imperative is a command or order. *
exclamatory An exclamatory is a statement of emotion. *
interrogative An interrogative sentence asks a direct question.
