abstract If something is abstract, it means that it exists as a thought or an idea and does not have a physical body.
adjective An adjective is a word which describes something. *
alliteration Alliteration involves words that begin with the same sound. *
antagonist Antagonist is the person or force within a story that opposes the protagonist or hero. *
colloquial Colloquial speech means conversational informal speech.
language Emotive language is language that elicits an emotional response from the reader.
narrative The narrative tells the story of something that has happened in the correct order. *
emotive Emotive language is language used to create emotion in the reader. *
foreshadowing The writer used foreshadowing to hint at what was to come for the reader later in the story. *
imagery Imagery is the use of visually descriptive language.

personification Personification describes something non-human as if it is human. *
protagonist Antagonist is the person or force within a story that opposes the protagonist or hero. *
repetition When a word is used more than once, it is called repetition. *
