greenhouse A greenhouse traps the heat from the sun to grow plants. *
gasses American English spelling but is sometimes accepted as British spelling Greenhouse gasses are causing the Earth's temperature to rise. *
nebula A nebula is where stars are made. *
asteroid An asteroid is made of rock and goes around the sun. *
comet A comet has a head and a tail and is made of ice, gas, and dust. *
meteorite A piece of rock or metal that has fallen to the earth's surface. *
solar The word solar means having to do with the sun. *
system System means a group of related parts that move or work together. *
revolution Earth takes 365 days to complete its revolution around the sun. *
lunar Lunar means having to do with the moon. *
satellite A satellite is a body that orbits another body in space. *
