This week s spelling pattern / rule is: Words ending in 'y' as /ie/ Rule: Every word and syllable has a vowel in it. Vowels are a,e,i,o,u. We also say y is a near vowel as our mouth is open when we say it. Some words use y as the vowel. If there is no consonant after it, there is a long vowel sound.
Visit the word lists page to find thousands of other word lists, each with associated handwriting worksheets or sign up to create your own.
"Fantastic - the most relevant material/resource ever seen for both dyslexia and teaching spelling rules."
