10 Ways to Monitor Your School’s Activity and Results on Spellzone

blog home

Last week we looked at 13 ways to monitor an individual student’s results and activity.

Here are 10 ways you can monitor your whole school's activity and results:

  1. Log into Spellzone and scroll down to see an Activity Split for your whole school.  Hover over each segment of the pie chart to see how often your students in your school have used each type of spelling activity over the last year.

  2. Look at number of times the students in your school have logged into Spellzone over the last 7 days, 30 days, and 90 days.

  3. Look at how much your students have improved on average. This figure is calculated using the difference between each student’s first and most recent Spelling Ability Test result.

  4. Look at how much your top student has improved by. This figure is calculated using the difference between each student’s first and most recent Spelling Ability Test result and seeing who has improved the most.

  5. Click on the blue 'Students' tab. Use the dropdown menu above the table to change the time period you want to look at.  Click on the green ‘points’ heading to see which student scored the most points over that time period.

  6. Click on the green ‘activities’ heading to see which student completed the most activities over that time period.

  7. Scroll down and click on ‘View course tests for all students' to see an overview of which units your students have completed and to identify gaps in their knowledge. You can also download this page as a spreadsheet.

  8. Click on ‘View Spelling Ability Tests for all students’ to see every time each student in your school has taken the Spelling Ability Test and what scores they achieved on one page. Use the dropdown menu above the table to change the time period you want to look at. You can also download this page as a spreadsheet.

  9. Click on ‘View logins for all students’ for a list of every time a student in your school logged into Spellzone. Find out what times each student logged in and logged out, as well as what device and browser they used.

  10. Click on ‘View activity for all students’ for list of how long each student was online and what activities they worked on while logged into Spellzone.
