  3. flabbergasted – extremely surprised or astonished
    I was flabbergasted when she told me she loved me.
     
  4. flummoxed – surprised and confused to the point of not knowing how to react
    We were flummoxed by the mysterious phone call.
     
  5. nonplussed – surprised and confused to the point of not knowing how to react
    He was nonplussed by the question.
     
  6. shocked – extremely surprised in a way that causes fear or upset
    They were shocked to hear about what their parents were like as children.
     
  7. speechless – surprised or bewildered to the point of being unable to speak
    The news left me speechless.
     
  8. startled – suddenly alarmed 
    The loud bang startled the dog.
     
  9. stunned – surprised to the point of being unable to react
    You might be stunned when I tell you what happened.
     
  10. taken aback – extremely surprised or shocked
    They were taken aback by the goodwill they received from the community.
