Onomatopoeia Onomatopoeia is when it sounds like the word, for example bang. *
Pamphlet The shop gave out a small pamphlet about its price cuts.
Paragraph Several sentences make a paragraph.
Vocabulary Use a thesaurus to widen your vocabulary.
Vowel The letter 'a' is a vowel. *
Personification Giving an object human qualities is personification - 'a strong wind menaced the trees'. *
Playwright A playwright writes plays.
Plural Plural means two or more of something - the plural of hope is hopes. *
Prefix Micro is a prefix. *
Preposition A preposition is used in a sentence to indicate the location or position of something. *
Resolution The more pixels, the better the resolution.
Rhyme Time, crime and chime all rhyme.
Scene The picture showed a peaceful country scene.
