This week's spelling pattern / rule is: Adding ing and er to words ending in e Rule: We usually drop the 'e' at the end of words when adding an ending that begins with a vowel suffix (e.g. -ing, -ed, -er, -able, -ous, ) as there is a vowel at the beginning of the suffix.
Visit the word lists page to find thousands of other word lists, each with associated handwriting worksheets or sign up to create your own.
