If a base word ends in an e which is part of a split digraph, drop the e if the suffix begins with a vowel. Keep the e if the suffix begins with a consonant. Letters and Sounds, Phase Six.

One of the students has put in a huge amount of effort in completing Spellzone at least 3 times a week since his arrival with us in January.
