Spelling list: Words where y does not change

If you add ing or ish the y does not change. If there is a vowel before the y , the y does not change.

frying	They cooked breakfast in a frying pan.
turkeys	Lots of turkeys are eaten at Christmas. *
valleys	Many river valleys were flooded in the storm.
boyish	He was still boyish despite his age.
greyish	His skin had a greyish tinge which worried the doctor.
