More examples: o words - rulebreakers

Some words do not need ow to spell the long /o/sound on the end of the word they just have o on its own.

Many of these words come from other languages, often because they are foods, animals or musical terms.

Only 5 of these words will be used during the Learn the Words activities.

tornado	A tornado is a natural disaster.
soprano	A soprano singer has a high voice.
bongo	We danced to the beat of the bongo drum.
patio	I have a new awning for my patio.
espresso	Espresso is very strong coffee.
gecko	A gecko is a small lizard.
