In the middle of longer words, like station and musician, the /sh/ sound is often spelled ti or ci. This spelling variation frequently appears in words derived from Latin.
Take some time to work through these examples, as recognising this pattern will make it easier to spell other words that contain these sounds. We'll revisit ci and ti words in Units 28 and 30.
