Welcome to a new school year! We hope you’ve had a restful summer. Over the break, we’ve been busy adding updates and resources to make Spellzone work even better for you. Many of these features were developed in response to your survey feedback – thank you again to everyone who took the time to share their ideas.
Get Your Account Ready
Start the term with your Spellzone account in order. Add new students, remove anyone who has left the school, and set up your classes so assigning work is quick and easy. Note that Microsoft SSO is now available!
Next, reset the Spelling Ability Test to generate a tailored learning pathway for each student. This step will give you a quick snapshot of each student’s strengths and problem areas – a great way to get to know your new class.
New Weekly Spelling Lists
Our set-and-go weekly spelling lists for Years 1-6 are here! Covering every week of all three terms, these lists provide a complete scheme of work for the whole year.
Assign lists to a class or year group in one go and use them in interactive activities and games ahead of the weekly spelling test. Each list can be adapted to suit your classroom needs or used just as it is.
Improved Results Tracking
Our new statistics make it easier than ever to monitor engagement and progress, helping you spot trends quickly and gather the evidence you need to show impact.
You can now see:
- Daily and weekly summaries of logins, time spent working, and points earned
- Charts highlighting which students are improving and which students may need extra support
- A clear view of improvement from the first Spelling Ability Test to the most recent
