Word for Wednesday: Green

Our Word for Wednesday theme for January is colours.  The word colour entered English via Old French and comes from the Latin ‘color’, from the Old Latin ‘colos’ meaning ‘a covering’, from the PIE root ‘kel-’ meaning ‘to conceal’.
