Word for Wednesday: Bed

It’s midweek again and most of us will be yearning for that elusive weekend lie-in tucked cozily between our bed sheets, and with the colder months fast approaching that luxury will be ever more tempting. I think it’s a safe bet that we all use the word ‘bed’ every day without fail. Even if we simply mean ‘to go to sleep’ rather than to retire to a comfortable mattress; we’ll most likely use the word ‘bed’ when sleep is beckoning.
